A history of success in staffing

AIS has been providing staff augmentation services in support of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) missions since 2010. We have successfully provided some of the most demanding and specialized skill sets in the world.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)

AIS supports our Lawrence Livermore National Security (LLNS) customer with Supplemental Labor Personnel.  Services include managing and recruiting supplemental labor at LLNL, which comprises exempt and non-exempt job classifications, many of which are highly technical and require individuals with advanced degrees and significant research and development experience. AIS serves the many LLNL directorates by effectively recruiting, managing, and retaining a large, diverse workforce, all within the confines of a highly-classified and sensitive work environment. While most positions are of a scientific or administrative nature, AIS also supports LLNL’s initiative of employing developmentally disabled individuals.

We rapidly respond to both small and large contracts, including those with exempt and non-exempt job classifications. Many of our classifications are highly technical and require individuals with advanced degrees and significant research and development experience within highly classified and sensitive work environments.

Sandia National Laboratories (SNL)

AIS supports our Sandia Corporation customer with contract associates (CAs) on an on-call, as needed basis. CAs perform both classified and unclassified work at primary and leased Sandia National Laboratories locations.  Services include managing and recruiting, filling requirements for both exempt and non-exempt job classifications, and onboarding of personnel.  AIS employs a highly-diverse workforce across multiple SNL directorates.

Safety

Safety is priority #1

AIS recently completed over 1,000,000 man-hours of work at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory without a loss-time incident. Our comprehensive safety program meets or exceeds the 10 CFR 851 requirements.

 

Our excellent .57 EMR rating didn’t happen by chance. This rating reflects a 750+ workforce that supports DOE M&O operations.  It’s the result of an intense focus on corporate-wide continuous improvement in which employees feel free to raise concerns without fear of retaliation regardless of whether it is to their own line management or to external regulators. Coupled with our EMR, our company-wide OSHA injury rate data has likewise followed the trend of decreasing metrics.

Measurable goals

AIS has also prepared, performed and implemented an Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) at multiple DOE locations tailoring the program to site-specific work processes and hazards with measurable goals of doing work safely. All work performed is planned and controlled within the assigned scope, risks and hazards involved and associated mitigation strategies. At a minimum, our ISM tools for managing and controlling work:

 

  • Define what is to be accomplished.
  • Identify, analyze and categorize hazards of the work and work environment.
  • Develop and implement hazard controls and/or mitigation processes and procedures for identified hazards.
  • Train workers on the identified hazards and controls.
  • Control work to ensure it remains within scope, that hazard mitigations are maintained and opportunities for improving the planning and performance of work is implemented.
  • Proactively involve workers in job safety and fitness for duties.
